Scope of application

The aim of this Privacy Statement is to inform users about the type, scope and purpose of data collection and processing carried out by the controller responsible.

The legal framework for data protection is provided by the GDPR.

Collection of general information

Whenever you access our website, information is automatically collected by us and/or the web hosting provider. This general information, also known as “server log files”, does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you.

The following data is collected: name of the website; file; date; volume of data; browser and browser version; operating system; domain name of your Internet provider; the so-called “referrer URL” (the page from which you have accessed our website); and IP address.

Without this data, it would be technically impossible for us to deliver and display some of the contents of this website. In this respect, the collection of data is absolutely essential. We also use this anonymous information for statistical purposes. This helps us to optimise our website and technology. We reserve the right to inspect log files if we suspect the illegal use of our website.

Contact form

If you contact us through our online form or via email, we will save the information you provide to respond to your enquiry and ask any follow-up questions we may have.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your browser stores on your device. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient and secure.

Some cookies are called “session cookies”. These are automatically deleted at the end of your browser session. By contrast, other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself. These help us to recognise you when revisiting our website.

Modern browsers let you monitor, restrict and prevent the use of cookies. Many browsers can be configured to automatically delete cookies when the programme is closed. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Cookies required to provide electronic communication processes and certain desirable features (e.g. shopping basket) are used on the basis of Article 6.1 f) of the GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the use of cookies to ensure the smooth and faultless provision of our services. Whenever other cookies are used (e.g. for analysis purposes), these will be covered separately in this Privacy Statement.

Data minimisation

We store personal data according to the principles of data avoidance and minimisation, and only for the necessary or legally prescribed amount of time (statutory retention periods). We will block or delete data as soon as it is no longer required for its original purpose, or as soon as its retention period has expired.

Your right of access, rectification, blocking, erasure and objection

You have the right to request free access to the personal data we store on you and/or to demand the correction, restriction or erasure of such information. This does not apply if data is stored as legally prescribed for the execution of business transactions, or if the data is subject to statutory retention obligations.

In order to potentially block data for processing at any time, it must be kept in a lock file for control purposes. If there are no statutory archiving requirements, you may also request the deletion of your data. Otherwise, we will block the data at your request.

Changes to our Privacy Statement

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Statement at any time to make sure it always meets the current legal requirements. This also applies to any changes made to our Privacy Statement to account for any new or revised services we offer. Our updated Privacy Statement will then apply to your next visit.
